Collaborations

The Lucas Project strives to partner with other organizations that aim to serve special needs families. These families often are going through some of the most difficult struggles one could imagine alone and hoping for a community to connect with. These are some of the organizations we have partnered with to better serve these families.

We Are Brave Together is an organization that has a mission to serve caregiving moms in a way that brings community and connection to their lives. Their work includes providing respite for special needs families, and building community through online connection groups as well as in person retreats and gatherings.

Their  “Brave Together Podcast” seeks to share interviews, celebrate stories, explore challenges, and rally hope and practical wisdom for the motherhood journey. You can listen to their latest episode here.

They have connected with us to sponsor items for our care package program, including coffee gift cards to help uplift the weary caregiver and remind them that they are not alone.

A Kid Again has a mission to foster hope, happiness, and healing for children with life-threatening conditions and their families. Their commitment to families goes beyond their adventures by providing comprehensive, practical support to help navigate the long-term impact of a life-threatening condition. The network of awesome families offers a safe place to share stories of strength and encouragement.

They have connected with us for several events to provide a care package to each family in attendance. We look forward to continuing these efforts in future events.

Corewell Health is home to Helen Devos Children’s Hospital, which we have had the pleasure to work with to provide care packages to parents whose children are in ICU.

Helen Devos Children’s Hospital provides comprehensive clinical care to children all across the state of Michigan. Their network includes 16 outreach locations and 50 regional clinics with 350+ pediatric specialists and subspecialists, 12 years of U.S. News & World Report national rankings and innovations that draw patients from all over the world. They strive to replace fear with hope, and doubt with answers and believe in the possibility of every child’s future.
