Our ConnectAbilities Cognitive Program offers year-round family recreation and respite events to enrich the lives of individuals and families challenged with cognitive or developmental disabilities.  The events are designed to meet the needs of individuals with all levels of abilities along with their family members to provide a place where families can enjoy time together and also build community with others who share their life experiences.  Families can design their own experience by choosing from a list of creative, fun, and challenging activities during their time at Ironwood.  Our events also offer lower entry points such as a day experience (vs a 2 night, 3 day experience) to allow families to get introduced to camp.

Kaitlyn’s Cottage

Kaitlyn’s Cottage is a respite care facility located in Defiance, OH. Daytime, evening, weekend and overnight respite services can be scheduled on any given day or time to accommodate your family’s need. Daytime respite can range from just a few hours to an entire day. The number of participants that can be served is dependent on the special needs of each individual and the planned activities. Overnights can range from one night, a weekend, even an entire week or more.

Keep Swimming Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides financial relief to families of critically ill patients who require extended inpatient medical care at an accredited USA hospital.

Life can change in an instant. All too often families find themselves faced with unexpected medical bills after the diagnosis of a life-threatening or life-changing event.

While health insurance provides support for medical costs, families faced with extended inpatient care typically shoulder the burden of the external costs associated with visiting and caring for their loved one. Because of this need, Keep Swimming Foundation was born.
