Our oldest son Luke is 14 years old, non-verbal, and has Autism. Being active duty, we move every couple of years and always find it hard to establish any kind of support system. The fact that Luke is now a teenager and going through puberty has not been easy on any of us, but especially him. As has always been the case, we struggle with knowing what’s bothering him, if he is sick, and how to help him. We look forward to retirement and settling down on some land where we can help Luke live a productive and meaningful life well after his school years.
